Spotted: harpist Megan van Uffelen among the winners of the London Young Musician of the Year competition

Last week, Megan van Uffelen, a harp student in the ArtEZ Academy of Music Young Talent Class, came third in the international music competition London Young Musician of the Year 2020-2021.

The competition’s international jury awarded Megan the bronze medal – but the prizes didn’t end there. Megan also won the audience award and a special mention for expression. Megan: “I’m thrilled to bits, it’s really nice to get so much support, also from ArtEZ.”

The London Young Musician of the Year competition looks for young musicians with excellent musical skills who also have a strong character and display creativity in their video presentations (the music competition took place online this year due to the coronavirus). The participants come from every continent.
