After your studies at ArtEZ, you enter a new phase: you start working. Some things come naturally, but you will also encounter challenges, such as finding a new rhythm, profiling yourself, asking for money for your work, working for zero, doubt, jumping in at the deep end, and networking. Fortunately, you don't have to figure everything out yourself. We are happy to help you. You can find paid work as an independent creator or an employee after graduation if you can confidently communicate your artistic and financial value. The ABC helps you become familiar with various entrepreneurial skills you need to professionalise in the cultural field.
Support when you start doing business
Our start-up programme READY TO START offers you, as a fourth-year student or alumnus, two days of workshops for an interdisciplinary group of artists in preparation for your professional practice.
The READY TO START Café is a meeting for all ArtEZ final candidates BA/MA and ArtEZ alums. You will get information on funds, vouchers, training and coaching. It is a meeting place to get advised and inspired about your professional practice.
We can advise you on taking the next step if you want to start your own business after your studies.
As an ArtEZ alum, you can apply for the startup voucher at the ArtEZ Business Centre (ABC) for up to three years after graduation. You can use this voucher for an initial investment in and for your company's startup.
If you are a startup and want to start a business with an innovative and scalable idea, you can get guidance and funding from the network organisation Orion.
