    Next to reporting on the visual arts policy of the national government, provinces and municipalities, institutions, and organizations, BK information contains advertisements for commissions and purchases, calls for Artist-in-Residence programs, announcements of international competitions, and prizes, stipends, and opportunities for participation in projects and events.

  • Het Nieuwe Instituut

    Het Nieuwe Instituut is the Netherlands’ national institute for architecture, design and digital culture. Located in the city of architecture, Rotterdam, in the Museum Park with Kunsthal Rotterdam and Depot Boijmans Van Beuningen as neighbours, Het Nieuwe Instituut has various exhibition spaces, a museum shop, a museum café (with the city’s loveliest terrace), an auditorium, educational spaces and a garden. The impressive architecture collection that the institute manages can be freely consulted in the Research Centre.

    Architectuur Lokaal

    Architectuur Lokaal aims to provide information and implement incentive programs to promote local architecture policy, the quality of the built environment at a municipal level, and the quality of building patronage among all parties involved. In our increasingly complex society, building clients have to translate social challenges into produced results. Achitectuur Lokaal supplies expertise in the form of substantial assistance, familiarizing them with the potential of design to make well-considered choices concerning their role within building culture. Architectuur Lokaal offers a continuation of the development of Dutch building culture. It finances its work with state contributions, commissions, subsidies, and donations.

    Platform31

    Platform31 is an independent knowledge and network organization that recognizes the trends in the city and region. It connects policy, practice, and science around current issues so that administrators, policymakers, and implementers can immediately use it. Everyone benefits from the results.

    Architectuurcentrum Amsterdam (ARCAM)

    ARCAM broadens the support base for architecture and responds to current themes and developments in and around Amsterdam that require attention. ARCAM is an information point with many architecture books, magazines, folders, sites, maps, and a cutting archive. In addition, ARCAM organizes lectures and exhibitions on current themes in its own exhibition space. ARCAM also acts as a coordination center for coordinating existing programs and initiating new activities.

    Academie van Bouwkunst

    The Academy of Architecture in Amsterdam organizes in collaboration with ARCAM the lecture series 1·Lectures. These deal with thematic, current topics in architecture, urban design, and landscape architecture at home and abroad. The lectures are public and also intended for interested parties from outside the Academy.

    Pakhuis de Zwijger

    Pakhuis de Zwijger is an independent platform for inspiring meetings and unexpected cross-fertilization. There is an extensive agenda with different themes that often deal with the city and architecture.

     

  • Stichting Elektro-Instrumentale Muziek (STEIM)

    STEIM is a ‘network laboratory’ for experiments in sound art and electronic live performance. It is a hotspot for an international community of composers, musicians, visual artists, and scientists. In addition to research and development, STEIM develops activities in information, education, events, and facilities.


    Buma Cultuur

    Buma Cultuur is a foundation established to promote the use of Dutch music copyright. The organization draws attention to the Dutch music product at home and abroad at trade fairs, through events, promotional CDs, etc. For example, Buma Cultuur stimulates new (pop) talent through the Muzikantendag, inJazz, and the Amsterdam Dance Event.

    Springboard for young composers and authors up to age 26 at the start of their careers. As a member, you can get in touch with professionals in the music industry via Buma Bridge, receive a discount on equipment, training, etc. You can promote your songs and inform yourself about copyrights.


    Stichting SWING

    Provides workshops and education in jazz and improvised music throughout the country.


    Organisatie Oude Muziek

    Is responsible for the Holland Festival Oude Muziek, the Netwerk Oude Muziek, the magazine Oude Muziek, and the organization of symposia and workshops. The aim is to make available and present the music repertoire from earlier centuries to a large audience according to the highest quality standards, both in an artistic and scientific sense. European music history is central to this, in conjunction with non-Western early music.


    Stichting Huygens-Fokker 

    Wants to promote knowledge of and interest in microtonal music. The concept of microtonality stands for music that deviates in any way from the traditional Western European tonal relationships. The foundation manages several instruments and ensures that they are used and played on. The foundation maintains an archive and makes it accessible.


    Stichting PopSport

    PopSport is a national coaching and talent development program for young musicians and bands. They regularly offer training courses, masterclasses, and workshops, both in music content and in the business and creative field. Via the website, you can create a profile, get in touch with others and thus expand your network.

    Verenigde Podiumkunstenfestivals

    The foundation is A collaboration of several Dutch festivals that wants to achieve a better anchoring of the role, position, and significance of festivals in the cultural infrastructure of the Netherlands, both locally and nationally, both financially and in terms of image building.
