Financial guarantee non-EU

If you need a residence permit as a non-EU student or an Exchange student, you have to transfer what we call a financial guarantee. Please see below which situation applies to you.

  • If you are in need of a residence permit, the financial guarantee consists of:

    • the income requirement set up by the Dutch Immigration Services (IND). This is proof that you can support yourself financially in the Netherlands. We will refund this amount as soon as you have a Dutch bank account.
    • the visa fees: this requirement is set up by the Dutch Immigration Services (IND). 
    • the insurance fees
    • the tuition fees

    The financial guarantee for Bachelor's or Ad's students consists of:

    Income requirement 2025€ 13,129.44
    Visa fees 2025€ 243.00
    Insurance fees (optional)€ 750.00
    Tuition fees non-EU students (2025-2026)€ 11,460.00
    Total amount financial guarantee€ 25,582

    Make sure the financial guarantee is on the ArtEZ bankaccount no later than 31 May.

    You have to use this bank account number if you wish to transfer the Financial Guarantee (including the tuition fee):

  • If you are in need of a residence permit, the financial guarantee consists of:

  • Are you an Exchange student via the Erasmus programme? And in need of a residence permit? In this case the financial guarantee consists of:

    • the monthly income requirement: € 1,094.12 (2025) per month of stay
    • the visa fees for the duration of your stay as an exchange student at ArtEZ: € 243 (2025)
    • the insurance fees (optional): € 62,50 per month of stay

    If you are an Exchange student not using the Erasmus programme, please contact the Student Affairs Department via studentaffairs@artez.nl.
