For Lex Chen, making visual art comes from an inner desire and need to find his own anchor and a true identity.
He approaches the external world self-confidently and with a critical, investigative attitude, using analogue photography as his medium. The inseparable relationship between analogue photography and reality was key to making that choice. Analogue photography also offers him the opportunity to build a deeper and more meaningful connection with his work and the subjects he photographs.
