It's raining Top Rated courses at ArtEZ

The 13 bachelor’s courses at ArtEZ which the Keuzegids hbo rated as Top Rated Programme in the Netherlands in its 2023 edition and still considers Top Rated in 2024 are: School of Acting, Artisteducator in Theatre, Dance Artist, Artisteducator in Dance, Artisteducator in Theatre & Media, MediaMusic, Academy of Pop Music, Music Theatre, Jazz & Pop Arnhem, Music in Education Enschede, Music in Education Zwolle, Fine Art and Design in Education Arnhem. The 14 newcomers to the list in 2024 are: Classical Music, Jazz & Pop Zwolle, Composition for Film and Theatre, BEAR Fine Art, Product Design, Fashion Design, Creative Writing, Design Art Technology, Graphic Design Arnhem, Animation Design, Comic Design, Illustration Design, Interior Architecture and Graphic Design Zwolle. 

The result of a process lasting years

According to Maarten Bremer, ArtEZ Executive Board member, ArtEZ's students are an important gauge of the quality of its education: "We attach great importance to their satisfaction with our education. All bachelor's courses at the ArtEZ Academy of Music now Top Rated

The Music courses offered by the ArtEZ Academy of Music in Arnhem and Enschede were already entitled to describe themselves as Top Rates Programme last year: the ArtEZ Academy of Music in Zwolle can now add itself to that list. ArtEZ is delighted that all its Music courses are now Top Rated Programmes. 

Delight in Arnhem: all bachelor's courses are Top Rated

Now that the Arnhem courses within the discipline of Design and Fine Art have joined a list of Top Rated Programme, ArtEZ can boast a unique achievement in Arnhem: for the first time in history, all its courses in the city are Top Rated. The Academy of Music, the Academy of Art & Design and the Academy of Theatre and Dance in Arnhem exclusively offer Top Rated bachelor's courses. Moreover, the design courses at ArtEZ in both Arnhem and Zwolle have attracted the highest rating among all the design courses at universities of the arts in the Netherlands.  

School of Acting achieves maximum score of 100 points

But the standout performer this year is the School of Acting of the Academy of Theatre and Dance. With a maximum score of 100 points, the course was rated the very best of all the theatre courses in the Netherlands. 

Delight in Zwolle: All Design and Music courses now Top Rated

Now that the Zwolle Design courses and all of the Music courses at the ArtEZ Academy of Music in Zwolle have joined the list of Top Rated courses, nearly all the bachelor’s courses at the ArtEZ academies in Zwolle have the distinction of being Top Rated. Moreover, the ArtEZ Design bachelor's in both Arnhem and Zwolle have received the highest rating of all such courses at universities of the arts in the Netherlands. 

More success for the ArtEZ Academy of Music in Enschede  

As has become traditional, the ArtEZ Academy of Music in Enschede scores highly, with the Music Therapy course as the jewel in its crown. With 98 out of 100 points, the course has achieved a nearly perfect score, putting it in first place in the ranking of creative arts therapy courses. The Academy of Pop Music and MediaMusic courses occupy a solid second place in the music courses category. Finally, the Music in Education course has posted an excellent score of 89 out of 100 points.

The Keuzegids hbo is published by the Centre for Higher Education Information (C.H.O.I.). The guide is published annually and judges courses on the basis of student satisfaction. The C.H.O.I. uses information from reliable sources such as the National Student Survey of over 286,000 students, labour market figures from the Research Centre for Education and the Labour Market (ROA) and figures for the successful completion of studies from the Netherlands Association of Universities of Applied Sciences. The Keuzegids hbo contains study descriptions, quality assessments by students and information about admission requirements, labour market data and student numbers.
