Applying for admission
You can apply for this course through Studielink. First, read the admission process for the master's course Interior Architecture below. You can find general admission information for ArtEZ here. Once you've applied, you'll receive a confirmation email from ArtEZ Student Affairs. After that, the course will provide you with further details regarding the admission process.
Important dates and deadlines
Currently, applications for the master's course are closed. Applications are open starting first of October 2024. For questions, please contact the department.
Admission criteria
If you want to apply for the master's course Interior Architecture, you must at least fulfil these requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree, preferably relating to interior architecture (such as Spatial Design or a (TU) Engineering Bachelor and other related Bachelor degrees). Applicants with a bachelor's degree in another discipline are also invited to apply: the admissions committee will determine the relevance of previous studies and work experience.
- a positive result of the entrance examination;
- a proof of your language proficiency. For more information, please check the general language requirements for ArtEZ master's courses.

Admission procedure: here’s what to expect
Step 1: Apply via Studielink
First, you apply via Studielink. You will be asked to submit the following documents:
- a copy of your passport;
- a copy of your bachelor diploma (preferably in English and with a list of credits) if already available;
- a proof of your language proficiency.
These documents should be uploaded before the start of the academic year. If you need a residence permit, the delivery deadline is 31 May.
Step 2: Submit other, relevant documents
After you have applied via Studielink, you will be asked to send us your portfolio, CV, a motivation letter and a research proposal. Below are some tips and guidelines for each document that may be helpful.
Step 3: Entrance examination
The admissions committee will check your submitted letter of motivation, CV and portfolio. If you are selected, you will be invited to the entrance exam. During the entrance exam, we will assess your graduation chances. The entrance exam consists of an interview with the admissions committee.
Step 4: Admission and enrolment
You will be notified whether you have been admitted within two weeks after the entrance exam. If you are admitted, you will receive instruction on how to enrol. Your admission is only valid for the academic year directly following the entrance examination.
Additional costs
Please keep in mind that on top of your tuition fee, you will also have to cover additional costs for our Travel modules. These modules are a mandatory part of the curriculum. The extra costs will be approximately €500 per college year.
In addition to this, you will have additional costs for materials for your course work. These costs will depend greatly on the type of material of choice.
