The internship in the fourth year is an integral part of the course. For the duration of an entire semester, you will complete an internship with an international company such as Kuitenbrouwer & Henselmans (Netherlands), Arturia (France), Dynamedion (Germany), and Hans Zimmer Studios (Los Angeles). These companies often scout talent and recruit students based on performance during the internship.
Throughout all the study years, you will work in the MediaMusic studios on recording, maintenance, giving workshops, mixing and mastering productions. Third-year students taking the minors Music Management and Music Economy will work in the PAMM Production Company of the Academy of Pop Music and MediaMusic.
Sean Gray, fourth-year student of MediaMusic in 2013 – London: ‘I am currently completing an internship at the Strongroom Music Studios (clients include Arctic Monkeys, Shakira, Santana, Macy Gray, The Who, and Kelis), which is a fantastic opportunity for me to build my experience. In the hours the studios are free, I work on the equipment and the analogue mixing consoles. I also get to meet the major artists of the British music industry.
Zino van Hamersveld completed his internship at Sonic Fuel Studios in Los Angeles and worked with artists such as Garry Schyman, Christopher Lennertz and Timothy Wynn.
