An extra dimension in your development as an art educator

Are you an art teacher or an art education professional and would you like to further develop in the area of arts-based research? Do you want to deepen your position as an artisteducator and take your work to a higher level? If so, this two-year ArtEZ part-time programme is for you. Apply for the Education in Arts master course: we are keen to hear about what motivates you and to get to know you better.

  • To be able to start with the Education in Arts master course, you must meet the following conditions:

    • You either have a higher vocational bachelor's degree in the field of art education (fine art and design, theatre, dance or music in education, or a similar course), or a university or higher vocational diploma in art, social work, primary education or media with relevant work experience in the field of art education.
    • All ArtEZ master courses are subject to language requirements. For the Education in Arts master course, the requirement is B2 or equivalent. Would you like to find out more? Read more about the ArtEZ general language requirements.
  • First of all, apply for the Education in Arts master course via Studielink. Deadline for registration is 1 June 2021. 

  • After applying in Studielink, you will receive more information about the subsequent admission procedure and a link to upload your CV and motivation letter. In your motivation letter, please answer at least the following questions:

    a) What is your motivation for this master course on a personal, professional and social level?
    b) Which themes would you like to explore during this master course?
    c) Who or what inspires you?
    d) What expertise can you offer the master's learning community?

    Based on your letter and CV, you will be notified of your admissibility by the course and you may be invited for an admission interview.

  • The admission interview takes about 30 minutes and is based on your portfolio. You should bring the following with you to the interview:

    • material from your artistic and/or art-educational practice;
    • one or more examples or photographs of artistic and/or art-educational work that inspires you.
  • You will be notified whether you have been admitted within 10 days. If you are rejected, we will explain the reasons why.
