Admission requirements

Admission procedure

Step 1: Apply via Studielink

First of all, you apply via Studielink; you can do so until three weeks before the scheduled admission interviews. Depending on where you live and what stage you are at in terms of your course or work, you need to submit several important documents. Studielink will guide you through this step by step.

Step 2: Send us your motivation letter, portfolio and CV

After applying in Studielink, we will send you an assignment for Fine Art and Design in Education tailor-made and a link to upload your CV, motivation letter and portfolio. Based on your letter, your CV and your portfolio, you will receive a message and, if applicable, an invitation to an admission interview.

Step 3: The admission interview

The admission interview is held by an admission committee made up of lecturers of both Fine Art and Design in Education tailor-made and the Education in Arts master's course. You can bring a few things with you to the admission interview, namely: material from your artistic and/or art-educational practice and one or more examples or photos of artistic and/or art-educational work that inspires you. We will let you know within a week whether you have been accepted for the master's course.

Stap 4: Admission

If you have been admitted, you will follow the programme of Fine Art and Design in Education tailor-made for a year and a half. In the February of the second academic year, a second admission interview will then take place in order to decide on your final admission to the double degree programme and therefore whether you will be permitted to follow the fast track Education in Arts master's course. If the result of the interview is negative, you may be able to redo it. If you are ultimately not admitted to the master’s course, you can go back and do the exempted subjects from Fine Art and Design in Education tailor-made without incurring any study delay. You may then be able to start the Education in Arts master’s course in September of the new academic year without having to go through the admission procedure again.
