Design and Fine Art, with technology as a connecting factor

Your telephone. The music you listen to. Your favourite Netflix series. A chat. The internet. The weather map on Buienradar. Almost everything around you is designed by people. In our time, technology plays a key role in those designs. But that is still a means to an end. Ultimately, it is about how people relate to each other.

Are you curious and do you have a broad interest in art and culture? The Bachelor of Art Design Technology at ArtEZ in Arnhem challenges you to become an artistically critical designer who uses technology as an artistic tool and/or for applied design. Important accents in our intensive course curriculum are a broad view of the role of technology in social issues, personal profiling based on your own fascinations and ample room for experimentation as part of the creative process.

After graduation, you are entitled to use the title of Bachelor of Arts and start working as a creative coder or start your own business as an interdisciplinary artist.

Over the past four years, I’ve learned more than I ever imagined when I went to the academy. Many of the lessons I learned were specialised. I learned to convey my own fascinations and thoughts through design and developed my own way of working and method in which I can tell my stories. By being constantly challenged, the academy asked the utmost of me.
