Application and admission

Do you want to discover your authentic creative voice in a constantly evolving field? Do you thrive in collaborative spaces where multiple disciplines and perspectives come together? In our programme, you’ll explore how technology can inspire creativity and critical thought. If this excites you, then Design Art Technology is the perfect place for you.

Admission requirements

Technological experience is welcome but not a prerequisite, we find it more important that you are fascinated by technology and are eager to learn. The language of instruction is English, Dutch-speaking students can complete the selection procedure in Dutch. If you would you like to apply for the Design Art Technology course at ArtEZ in Arnhem, you must meet the following conditions:

  • Pre-university education (VWO), upper general secondary education (HAVO), secondary vocational education (MBO: level 4) or foreign equivalent level of education;
  • This English-language course is subject to language requirements;
  • You must successfully complete a selection procedure.

Application

After you have registered in Studielink, you will receive your student number and a link to our admission page by e-mail. This page will automatically take you to a questionnaire. Once we receive your completed questionnaire, you will automatically be sent more information about the admission procedure and the home assignment.

You’ll then receive two home assignments to complete and upload. Based on our evaluation of this creative output and your motivation letter, you may be invited to an admission day in Arnhem. Here, you will spend half a day completing another assignment. During the interview, we’ll discuss your portfolio, home assignments, and motivation. By the end of the day, you'll know if you’ve been accepted. For international applicants, the interview and assignment will take place via video call.

Tip: Bring a variety of work—videos, music, sketches, games, or anything that shows your creativity to the interview.
