After graduationStudents of the Design Art Technology graduate as critical thinkers, versatile technologists and multidisciplinary artists with a distinctive voice. Their creative vision, technical skills and extensive cultural knowledge will be relevant for assignments, collaborations and projects across a range of contemporary professional practices. They establish autonomous projects, run studios, start platforms, host podcasts, make albums, initiate exhibitions, and support other artists and initiatives.
Title and diploma
After successfully completing the Design Art Technology programme, you may use the title Bachelor of Arts.
This programme may be found in the Dutch Central Register of Courses in Higher Education (CROHO) under code 39111. The formal name of the programme, under which it is known in CROHO, is Bachelor of Design. This CROHO name will appear on your diploma.
Starting work
Professional development is central to our programme. Throughout the programme, you’ll explore the wide range of opportunities within the field and form your own path. As a result, our graduates pursue a broad spectrum of career opportunities shaped to their specific interests and skills:
- Students with a creative engineering profile often use their high demand skillset to join leading international studios, run technology platforms or venture off to start an independent studio.
- The course gives access to internships at amazing international studios and independent artists. Students often continue their collaboration with these professionals after their graduation.
- Other graduates work with design agencies, focusing on areas such as information design, time-based installations, wearables or emerging technologies.
- Some graduates establish their own design studios or work as independent artists, while others form collectives to organise musical and cross-cultural events.
Many graduates combine project commissions with their autonomous work, balancing commercial, organisation-based and self-directed work to establish a resilient practice.
Continuing your studies?
After the Design Art Technology bachelor's programme, you can continue your studies on a master level at universities in the Netherlands or abroad.
