Every year, EW publishes a ranking of the best courses in higher education. EW Best Studies 2023 is an independent study comparing more than 3400 bachelor's and master's courses and is intended as an aid for prospective students and high school students who want to make a study choice. More thab 289000 bachelor's and master's students rated their course this year through the National Student Survey.

Gold again for Music Therapy and School of Acting

To qualify for a medal at EW Best Studies 2023, the course must score significantly better than other studies within the relevant sector. Courses that excel in most parts receive a gold medal, 'because students are very satisfied with various aspects of their studies'. This year there are two ArtEZ bachelor's courses that received a gold medal: Music Therapy in Enschede and the School of Acting. Those courses also got a gold medal last year, which shows that the students are consistently satisfied with the quality of education provided by these courses.

Bronze for master's courses

The bachelor's course Artisteducator in Theatre received silver for the second year in a row. The bachelor's courses Dance ArtistMediaMusic and the Academy of Pop Music were awarded with a bronze medal. This year, three ArtEZ master's courses are also nominated in the 'EW Beste studies': Critical Fashion Practices, DAI Art Praxis, and Werkplaats Typografie have received a bronze medal. Last year, only bachelor's courses were awarded a medal. This development shows that the quality of the master's courses at ArtEZ is increasingly being recognized, and that this is reflected in the experience of students.
