Art Award Arnhem 2026: Three nominees exhibit at Museum Arnhem

From 16 October to 9 November 2026, the work of Jeongmin Park, Enrico Manzella and Milou Laroussiyen will be on display at Museum Arnhem. The three artists have been nominated for the Art Award Arnhem 2026, an incentive prize for promising graduates of BEAR Fine Art at ArtEZ Academy of Art & Design Arnhem.

The three nominees work from a range of subjects and artistic practices. Jeongmin Park explores the visual language and gender codes of popular culture, from games and memes to anime and K-pop. Through paintings and videos, she deconstructs and combines existing images and codes, looking for ways to think beyond existing systems.

Enrico Manzella explores the relationship between religion, tradition and change. Drawing on his Italian background, he uses fresh pasta, bread and wine in installations, sculptures and performances. In doing so, he brings religious rituals and basic human needs together, using humour and irony to open up questions about what we believe in and what we pass on to future generations.

Milou Laroussiyen approaches her work as a visual diary. Family histories, migration and memories form the starting point for paintings, ceramics and textiles. Inspired in part by the stories of her grandfather, who was born in Morocco, she explores how personal memories can be captured and passed on.

On Sunday 18 October, the three nominees will come together for a special edition of Kunstgasten, where they will discuss their work and artistic practices. The conversation will be moderated by Maja Bekan, an ArtEZ tutor and performance and visual artist.

The winner of the Art Award Arnhem 2026 will be announced afterwards, followed by the official opening of the exhibition. In addition to the exhibition, the winner will receive a €2,500 prize. The exhibition is on display at Museum Arnhem from 16 October to 9 November 2026.
