Entrance exam
After applying in Studielink, you will go through an admission procedure. The entrance exam takes place over the course of one day, between 9.00 and 17.00. On this day, we will assess your chances of succeeding on the course. We will test:
- Your creative ability: your ability to express yourself artistically, to work based on observation and concept. We will also be looking for things like understanding of and feel for colour, form and material and the individuality expressed by your work.
- Your ability to communicate. How strong are your communication skills, to what extent are you able to share and discuss your fascination and inspiration? How do you critically view your own activities and how do you analyse them?
- Your ability to reflect critically on images. Here we will be looking for an inquiring and experimental attitude, interest in art and culture, a focused interest in the discipline and your ability to compare and analyse images.
The entrance exam consists of:
- Working on visual assignments during the exam day;
- An interview with the admissions committee, made up of lecturers and students.
- Showing and explaining work you have brought with you and the homework.
The admissions committee will advise the Board of Examiners whether or not you should be admitted.
