"In a laboratory environment we research in a fundamental way the constant new relationships of man with its environment. In an interaction between the idea and the real new questions awaken through design."
Humanity has never changed as much as it has in the last 20 years, in social interactions, the economic systems, our living environment in cities and neighbourhoods and in the on-going globalisation.
Today’s reality of new unfolding social and political structures, immigration, gender issues, scientific and technological developments challenge us in profound ways. Corpo-real students are encouraged to reflect, discuss and act upon these issues in a respectful and open environment.
For the near future corpo-real identifies four urgent matters:
Corpo-real offers students a platform for exploration and experimentation and profound critical reflection. We intend to inspire students to look beyond their own discipline and beyond Western concepts. Students are encouraged to work alongside each other in diverse and interdisciplinary groups, to foster productive exchange of ideas and perspectives.
Corpo-real introduces research methods from different disciplines, such as anthropology, sociology, psychology or theatre. Literature research and interact interact with practice-based research, such as interview, observations, design-based research, and artistic methods. Students find their own ways, routes and style in this, depending on the context, issues and problems they aim to understand and improve.
