Atmosphere & facilities

Like six other courses, the Design Art Technology courses falls under the Academy of Art & Design in Arnhem. There are numerous workshops; from digital workshops where you can do 3D printing to ceramics and wood workshops. Moreover, Design Art Technology is the only course in the Netherlands with its own hardware and software lab.

There is plenty of scope for experimenting and there is a friendly atmosphere with an emphasis on equality and respect. The workshop assistants provide an inexhaustible source of expertise and are great sparring partners when working out your ideas.

Our students - around 45 in total - come from all over the world. Thanks to the small scale, there is an atmosphere of strong mutual commitment and students learn from one another. At the same time, the international lecture team, projects with external partners, collaboration with students on other courses and an internship abroad ensure that your gaze is focused outwards.

I’m very happy here and I’ve really found my place.
