Young Talent Class student Anna van den Houten in the final of the Royal Concertgebouw Competition

Anna has a beautifully supple voice and natural timing. With her already quite mature phrasing, musicality, and joy of playing, she will undoubtedly sing the stars from the sky at the Concertgebouw.

Anna van den Houten (13), a student in the Young Talent Class at the ArtEZ Conservatory in Zwolle, has qualified for the finals of the Royal Concertgebouw Competition in Amsterdam. On June 28, she will perform in the Kleine Zaal as a budding jazz singer, after impressing in the selection round and semifinals.

About the competition

The Royal Concertgebouw Competition is a prestigious national music competition for young talents aged between 9 and 14. The final consists of six mini-concerts in which the participants perform live for a professional jury and an audience, including family members and music professionals.

I think it's really cool to participate! It's a fun experience that I won't forget anytime soon.
