From hyper-feminine gaming worlds and internet culture to rituals, religion and family histories, the three nominees for the Art Award Arnhem 2026 each represent a distinct artistic practice. The jury selected Jeongmin Park, Enrico Manzella and Milou Laroussiyen from the 33 graduating artists of BEAR Fine Art at ArtEZ Academy of Art & Design Arnhem.

The Art Award Arnhem is an incentive award for promising graduates of BEAR Fine Art. It supports emerging artists at the start of their professional careers and is an initiative of Vrienden van Museum Arnhem, organised in collaboration with Museum Arnhem and BEAR Fine Art at ArtEZ Academy of Art & Design Arnhem
While the three nominees each have a distinctive artistic voice, their practices differ widely in both subject matter and approach.
Jeongmin Park draws on the visual language of gaming, social media and online culture to critically examine gender roles and the influence of popular image culture. Her work adopts an apparently hyper-cute aesthetic that, on closer inspection, raises sharp and thought-provoking questions.
Enrico Manzella explores the intersections of religion, science and material culture. Drawing on his Catholic Italian background, he uses humour, rituals and everyday materials to reveal how beliefs and systems of knowledge take shape.
Milou Laroussiyen combines painting with ceramics and textiles, drawing on family histories, migration and cultural heritage. Moving between past and present, her work transforms personal memories into stories with broader social resonance.
From 16 October to 9 November 2026, the three nominees will present their work at Museum Arnhem. During Kunstgasten on 18 October, they will take part in a public conversation about their artistic practices. The winner of the Art Award Arnhem 2026 will also be announced that afternoon and will receive a cash prize of €2,500.
