Dutch Design Daily features the ArtEZ Academy of Art & Design Zwolle Graduation Show

In his feature for Dutch Design Daily, Lucas Verweij approaches the exhibition through the question of how the place where you study can shape your development as an artist and designer.

A diverse graduation show

The article highlights several graduation projects featured in the exhibition. Dutch Design Daily spotlights Ite Hamming, whose work explores how art can encourage encounters and conversations in public space. It also features Gert Bossenbroek, who approaches religious traditions from a contemporary artistic perspective, and Ruben Cornelissen, whose paintings centre on family, memory and everyday life. The article concludes with Shurendi Statie, whose work reflects on cultural identity and the significance of her Caribbean heritage. For her artistic research project Un ñapa di mi kultura, Statie also received the Thesis Award from ArtEZ Academy of Art & Design Zwolle.

Through the feature, Dutch Design Daily showcases the breadth of the graduation projects presented by ArtEZ Academy of Art & Design Zwolle and highlights how each maker explores contemporary and personal themes from their own perspective.
