Working together to support emerging talent

Booster Festival was highlighted as a key festival partner. The festival brings together emerging talent, makers, audiences, industry professionals and the wider music sector.

Academy of Pop Music alumni Sam de Laat, from the band Droom Dit, and Silke Veld also shared their experiences. Their stories illustrated how talent development in the east of the Netherlands is supported in practice through education, creative hubs, festivals, funding programmes, residencies, venues, coaching and professional networks.

Looking ahead

The partners also discussed how this regional collaboration aligns with the objectives of Performing Arts Fund NL and the opportunities it offers in the lead-up to the Dutch cultural system from 2029 onwards.

ArtEZ Academy of Music in Enschede aims to further strengthen the connection between education, talent development, artistic practice and the professional field. ArtEZ Academy of Music in Arnhem and ArtEZ Academy of Music in Zwolle are also part of Muziekhub Oost. Together, they are building a strong network for music, makers and talent development across the provinces of Gelderland and Overijssel.
