Illustrative work and home assignment

For admission to the course, we feel it is important that you show work that you have completed during the past three years at home, at school or as part of a course. This can be both two-dimensional and three-dimensional work. Examples include drawings, paintings, photo series, animations, websites, furniture, clothing, posters, etc. Bring all the work that provides a representative picture of your creative activities. Also bring designs and sketches that provide insight into the creative process. Make sure that you can explain your work.

Entrance examination

The entrance exam is divided into two parts:
1. A pre-selection based on a digital portfolio. In it you show your visual work and work that you have made as a result of the home assignment. You also provide an explanation about your work, in the form of a video.
2. The pre-selection determines which candidates will be invited for the second part of the entrance exam: this is an interview at the academy, during which you show your physical work. The admissions committee with which you have an interview consists of lecturers and students from the programme. The committee will ask about your motivation for the field of illustration and will also be curious about your knowledge of visual art and design. Your imaginative abilities and your creativity are decisive for admission.
