From February 11 to 12, within the walls of the Sophia Building, ArtEZ Zwolle students participated in the 24 Hours Drawing Project! On this day, they experienced what it is like to conceive and create art (without sleep) for 24 hours. For each discipline, the content of the assignment differed.

For example, Comic Design students made one comic book page per hour and Graphic Design students made new posters every hour whose themes were decided on the spot.

Fourth-year Animation Design student Lucas Toornvliet organized the 24 Drawing Project.
"24 Hours is something I picked up a few years back together with Leoni Bröring," says Lucas, "It used to be organized every year at ArtEZ, but then that stopped. When I heard about the concept I thought, 'Well, we just have to do that again!' After many meetings and emails, I suddenly organized a 24 Hours!'

Mini documentary

During the 24 hours, the 24 Hours news crew, consisting of Theater in Education students Niek van Remmerden and Ella Albers and ArtEZ staff members Seppe Ovink and René Karomi, followed the students at every moment of the day.
