Music Theatre: your ambition, your route, your vision

The Music Theatre master's course helps you become aware, or more aware, of your unique identity as an artist. You learn to explore the subjects that inspire you and discover how you can find suitable forms for them. You gain unique practical experience through close collaboration with our partners Orkest De EreprijsTheater Sonnevanck, De Nieuwe Oost, Via Berlin and through masterclasses delivered by professionals from practice such as Dagmar Slagmolen (artistic director of Via Berlin), Laura van Grinsven (performance professional), Arlon Luijten (music theatre director and lecturer) and Wensley Piqué Pitt (puppet theatre maker and lecturer in dance). Once graduated, you will be ready to independently acquire a place in the field as a music theatre maker. Indeed, you will have the ability to shape, innovate and broaden the field.

Your ideas, which can touch and inspire people – that's what this master’s course is all about. You will challenge yourself by conducting research, being curious, experimenting and asking questions. By letting go of your certainties and going in search of your own motivations. So that you can develop a unique vision of music theatre – a vision through which you can make an important contribution to the world and to the professional field, in a way that is appropriate to your talents, your personality and your ambitions.
