Admission procedure: here’s what to expect
Step 1: Apply with Studielink
You first apply with Studielink. Depending on where you live and what stage of your studies you are at, you need to submit some important documents, such as a copy of your passport and your bachelor degree. Studielink will help you through this step by step.
Step 2: The questionnaire
After you have applied through Studielink, you will receive an invitation to complete a questionnaire through ArtEZ's admissions portal. Based on your answers to these questions, we will conduct an exploratory interview.
Step 3: The exploratory interview
During this interview, you can explain your choices and ask any questions about the course. We check whether your ideas and wishes are suited to your ambitions and whether they are realistic, feasible and at master level. We also discuss the study component research because this plays a key role in the course. This interview can take place online or live. Based on this interview, a decision will be made as to whether you will be invited to audition.
Step 4: The audition
The audition consists of a theoretical part and a practical part and lasts about 1.5 hours. A minimum of two evaluators will be present at the audition. The audition tests your motivation and ambitions as well as your musical, theatrical and craft skills in relation to your ambitions. Auditions for this course are by appointment, which means there are no set dates for auditions. A good thing to remember, though, is that auditions are scheduled in April, May and June.
Step 5: admission
After you have done the audition, the committee advises the board of examiners. The board of examiners decides whether you are offered a place. You will be notified of the result of the entrance exam within three working weeks.
