Three selections Animation Design for Kaboom Animation Festival

Three films by students and alumni of Animation Design at ArtEZ Academy of Art & Design Zwolle have been selected for Kaboom Animation Festival. The films will be screened as part of the programme Dutch Shorts, which takes place from 13 to 22 March in Amsterdam.

Selection for Dutch Shorts

Kaboom Animation Festival presents Dutch Shorts as a curated selection of recent Dutch animated films. This year, the programme includes three films by ArtEZ students:

• Yvette Bolder – You don’t know how I love you
• Arthur Lennips – Apex
• Gabriella Gould – Balls & Chains

The films were developed within the Animation Design programme at ArtEZ Academy of Art & Design Zwolle and showcase a wide range of approaches, from personal and narrative to experimental and research-driven animation.

Additional festival screenings

In addition to its selection for Kaboom, Balls & Chains by Gabriella Gould has already been screened at First-Time Filmmaker Sessions Volume 13, an online festival initiative based in London. The film has also been selected for an upcoming edition of First-Time Filmmaker Sessions based in Los Angeles. Several other festival submissions are still under consideration.
