Józefina Wojtkiewicz wins Diploma Selection 2026 at Designblok Prague

Fashion Design alumnus Józefina Wojtkiewicz has won the fashion category of Diploma Selection 2026. The international competition is part of Designblok, a design festival in Prague, and provides a platform for recent graduates from across Europe. Józefina won with her graduation collection One and Three…– Blank.

With One and Three…– Blank, Józefina explores how clothing can be viewed as an image rather than simply a functional object. Inspired by still-life paintings, her collection plays with the tension between stillness and movement.

She experimented with hand-painted silk fabrics and wool coated in plaster. Through her use of colour, materials and form, she creates garments that function as compositions and come to life when worn.

The Czech fashion magazine ELLE has also featured Józefina and her collection. In an interview, she discusses her work and the ideas behind her designs.

Fashion Design alumni Jillian-Blair DeRose and Zaïna Timmermans were also selected for the fashion category of Diploma Selection 2026. This meant that three ArtEZ alumni were represented in the international selection.
