New generation of makers: these are the winners of Kunstbende Gelderland 2026

During the preliminary round of Kunstbende Gelderland at Doornroosje in Nijmegen, a new generation of young makers presented their work. More than 70 young people took part, with seven winners advancing to the national final in Amsterdam.

For ArtEZ, Kunstbende has been more than a competition for many years: it is an important stepping stone for young talent. ArtEZ has been a partner of Kunstbende since 2005. Together, we make art and culture accessible and encourage young makers to get the most out of their talent.

From stage to next step

Young makers aged 13 to 19 took to the stage with work in the categories dance, expo, fashion, music, language, film and theatre. In addition to a place in the final, the winners receive coaching and stage experience, supporting their further development.
