After graduation

After graduation

Upon your graduation from the Music Theatre course at the Arnhem Academy of Music, you are a Bachelor of Music. The skills you acquire during the course enable you to work on larger and smaller cultural projects that can make good use of your knowledge.

Performer or teacher

You can choose to become a performer, but you can also work as a music theatre teacher or director. Many graduates opt for a combination and are, for example, part of their self-designed work as a musical performer. Your versatility, your knowledge of different disciplines and your ability to work with different artists open up many opportunities for you to find work. Your broad employability is very interesting to the field.

Further studies

After obtaining your bachelor's degree, you can take several postgraduate courses at ArtEZ. The Master of Music Theatre and the Master Performance Practices are excellent complements to the bachelor course. Here you can specialise in the direction that appeals to you the most. You can take the two-year Tailor-Made BA Music in Education for a first-level teaching qualification in mainstream education. If you choose the Tailor-Made BA Music in Education as your second bachelor course, you only pay half the tuition.

Alumni

As a relatively young course – we have been around for less than fifteen years – Music Theatre already has many former students working in interesting places. For example at Het Houten Huis, Club Guy & Roni, Productiehuis De Nieuwe Oost, Feikes Huis, KASKO Kameroperahuis, Ulrike Quade and alumni can also be seen at festivals such as Cement, Karavaan Over het IJ, the Operadagen and Oerol.
