The three art in education programmes at ArtEZ Academy of Theatre & Dance will be renamed with effect from the 2023-2024 season:

With this name change, the bachelor's courses anticipate developments in society and the professional field. Artisteducators deploy their artistic and social didactic qualities within the context of diverse projects and communities. Co-creation in context is the source of artistry. We therefore consciously write 'artisteducator' together, to show that the artist and the teacher are one and the same and cannot be separated.

The academy magazine takes you into the thoughts behind this development, for instance in Marijn Lems' interview with the heads of the artisteducator and AeCT lectureship programmes. Practical examples are included from the perspective of lecturers and students from the programmes, such as Yulia Globa's work in a mixed ability company and students' accounts of internships and projects. There is also a focus on the site-specific college in Belfast initiated by iMAE, the International Master Artist Educator, and the bachelor Artisteducator in Theatre.
