Frans Sturkenboom
Frans SturkenboomFrans Sturkenboom is architect and lecturer at the Academy of Architecture in Arnhem and the Academy of Architecture in Amsterdam. He teaches architectural theory and history.
Among his publications we find essays on Frank Lloyd Wright, Carlo Scarpa and Francesco Borromini and Aldo Rossi. He just published a book on gesture in architecture, ‘De Gestiek van de architectuur’ in which he analyses the late twentieth century shift from an architecture of space to an architecture of (deep) surface.
He is currently doing a PhD (‘Time in the work of Frank Lloyd Wright’) at the Technical University of Delft.
