This PhD research deepens the knowledge about the creative ability of the primary school child and enriches this knowledge with empirical research into the development of creative ability of children aged 4-12 years.

Evidence informed research on the theory and practice of creativity for the young children. There is a lack of knowledge about the level of creativity, and the possible methods of creativity development, for young children. In this NWO funded PhD project Olga Potters explores the nature of creativity, the level of creativity, and the possibilities for future creative education for young children. The partner in this project is the University of Amsterdam, a long-term partner in research.
This research is part of the Doctoral Grant for Teachers programme.
