Application and admission

Artisteducator in Theatre admission requirements

If you would like to apply for the bachelor's course Artisteducator in Theatre, you must meet the following conditions:

      • Pre-university education (VWO), senior general secondary education (HAVO), secondary vocational education (MBO: level 4). higher vocational preparatory course (VHBO) or foreign equivalent level of education;
      • This course is subject to Language requirements;
      • You must successfully complete an intensive selection procedure comprising two rounds.

Selection round dates

The selection rounds will take place on the following dates:

January (registration for the January selection is no longer possible)

    • First round: Saturday 13 January 2024
    • Second round: Thursday 25 and Friday 26 January 2024

March / April (registration for the March / April selection is no longer possible)

    • First round: Saturday 23 March 2024
    • Second round: Thursday 4 and Friday 5 April 2024

May

    • First round: Friday 17 May 2024
    • Second round: Thursday 30 and Friday 31 May 2024

 

Selection procedure

              After applying for the selection, you will go through a selection procedure consisting of two rounds. After the first round, you will hear whether you have made it to the second round. In the selection, we pay attention to factors such as aptitude, interest and attitude. We also assess your ability to develop further artistically and to complete the course successfully within four years. This is often experienced by others as a workshop rather than an audition.
              The selection committee will advise the Exam Board whether or not you should be admitted.

Result and validity

After the selection, you will be informed whether you have been admitted within five working days. During the selection process, we will provide you with feedback to give you insight into our assessment of your suitability for the course. The admission only applies to the Artisteducator in Theatre course in Arnhem and to the academic year immediately following the selection round.

Aplication

After creating a Studielink account, you can apply for the selection procedure for the Artisteducator in Theatre course in Studielink. You will then receive a confirmation from the course by e-mail and, at a later date, an invitation containing information about the programme, times and assignments.

Well prepared for the audition

If you want to prepare for the audition, apply for Theatervooropleiding Oost. There you will receive an intensive introduction to the theatre profession over the course of fifteen Friday evenings and fifteen Saturdays.
