Medical and physical examination

The Dance in Education course offers opportunities in a very broad field of work. The physical demands placed on you are high and are influenced by the field in which you find yourself. It is important that you get to know your body well in order to be able to determine how you ultimately go about your job. That is why you will undergo a Dance Medical Examination (DME) if you pass the audition. The DME examines whether you are fit to handle the physical load, but above all, the DME forms the basis for a personal development plan. Your own physical possibilities and limitations are mapped out and you receive advice with points you could work on. The DME is conducted by sports doctors and physiotherapists at Sport Medical Centre Papendal (SMCP).

Result and validity

After the auditions and the medical and dance physical examination, you will be notified within two weeks whether you qualify for admission. The result only applies to the ArtEZ Bachelor of Dance in Education course in Arnhem for the academic year immediately following the audition. If more people qualify for admission than the course can accommodate, a number of them will be put on a waiting list.
