Achieve your Music in Education degree with a tailor-made pathway
On the Tailor-Made Music in Education course at the Academy of Music in Enschede, we only have one ambition: to produce the best music teachers. As a music teacher, you play music yourself, you have knowledge of music and you know how to convey that knowledge to a group. It may be that you already have these skills thanks to your previous education. For example, if you have an AMV degree, a degree from an academy of music or a PABO or other teacher training degree. You will acquire the skills you still lack on the Tailor-Made Music in Education abridged course.
After the course, you may use the title Bachelor of Music in Education (BEd) and you will have a first-degree teaching qualification. This means that you are qualified to teach Music as well as the subjects of Culture and Arts and General Art. After graduation, you can also work outside education, for example at a music school or for the educational service of an orchestra, ensemble or opera company.
ArtEZ also offers the Tailor-Made Music in Education course at the Academy of Music in Zwolle. The six-month AMV version is only available in Enschede.
