Seltsamer Vögel | Comic & Illustration Design exhibition in Berlin
First-year students of the Illustration Design and Comic Design programs in Zwolle have tested their creativity and are exhibiting the results during their study trip to Berlin. Will you be in Berlin on October 14? Then you are more than welcome to join us!
In this exhibition, ArtEZ students intervene in the existing exhibition as a group of ‘oddballs’. The work they will be showing also consists solely of strange birds from the current world of politics. The gentlemen politicians, or rather dictators, are mercilessly depicted in 3D portrait objects constructed by the students. They also show a series of news illustrations that address the situation in the US, the drone actions from Russia, and the right-wing wind blowing from the Netherlands.
Seltsamer Vögel is supervised by teachers Sam Peeters and TRIK and supported by senior mentors from Illustration Design. Curator Niels Beugeling of Das Verwalterhaus in Berlin is leading the project.
