The Ties that Bind symposium is a dynamic event that will take place on May 21 in the Rebrandt Theater. This is a collaboration between State of Fashion, ArtEZ University of the Arts and NewTexEco.
The symposium covers various themes related to the State of Fashion Biennale 2024 | Ties that Bind, NewTexEco’s research focus, such as Shame & Sustainability and Everyday Dressing Practices – different (Global South) understandings.
ArtEZ features strongly in the programme. For instance, lecturer Daniëlle Brugman of the Fashion Professorship gives the welcome speech, the master's course Critical Fashion Practices has a strong presence and the collection Ornament Dresses by students of the bachelor's course Fashion Design is featured.
The event is open to invited guests.
