The European Design Awards are annual awards presented to European designers for outstanding work in communication design. In the 'Exhibition Design' category, a gold award was given to exhibition design by Dana Dijkgraaf Design and Studio met met.

Dana Dijkgraaf Design (DDD)

Dana Dijkgraaf (1990) is a graphic designer and art director based in Arnhem. From her passion for form, colour and well-considered concepts, she creates designs that sparkle and visualise the story well. She started her design studio DDD in Arnhem in 2014, after studying Graphic Design at ArtEZ in Arnhem. Her clients work in various industries: fashion, art, non-profit, art education, nature and the commercial sector. In 2019 and in 2022, Dana also received European Design Awards.

The fact that How dare you make me feel this way won gold is a great honour and appreciation in particular. With great confidence from the museum, I was able to create a distinct design together with Studio met met. For this to be recognised at an international level is fantastic."

Studio met met

Arnhem-based Studio met met consists of Lennart Bras (1992) and Casper Notenboom (1984), who studied together at Product Design at ArtEZ. After graduating in 2016, they founded a design studio focusing on product, interior, accessory and exhibition design with a focus on reusable and modular systems where design and realisation go hand in hand.

We are super proud of what we have created together. The exhibition is not only bold and outspoken, but with its modular systems it is ahead of the curve in terms of sustainability."
