Cas Thorsen creates everyday objects in ceramics to give it a different appearance. What does that say about him as a finals student Crossmedia Design? Is he a designer or a visual artist?
"I make. I feel that that term suits me best, because it also makes me an artist, illustrator and animator. I was able to do all that here at school. Making in different media and combining those media can offer very surprising results. That is what I love about this course.”
For his finals work, Cas wanted to challenge himself. He did not limit himself to one medium and stayed close to himself by dealing with subjects and materials with which he has a personal connection:
