Knowledge network

In addition to the professor the professorship Tactical Design is made up of Jorn Konijn and Tjeerd Veenhoven, and a number of permanent lecturer-researchers who supervise the externally financed projects, working together with ArtEZ courses where possible.

The professorship is supported by project coördinator Kristel Holtmaat, secretary Dalila Sehovic and strategic advisor Lucie Huiskens. There are intensive contacts with lecturers and students of ArtEZ BA Product Design and MA Interior Architecture.

Other courses that identify with the research of this professorship are welcome to initiate joint research projects.

In projects, the professorship works together with renowned designers such as Marijke Bruggink, Connie Groenewegen, Ineke Hans, Aniela Hoitink, Eric Klarenbeek, Frank Kolkman, Richard Vijgen and Klasien van de Zandschulp.

Lucie Huiskens advises the professorship in her role as co-founder and programme coordinator of NL NextFashion & Textiles.

Jorn Konijn

Project leader and researcher Jorn Konijn is architecture & design curator and works as programme manager for Dutch Design Foundation.

Tjeerd Veenhoven

Design researcher Tjeerd Veenhoven was trained as a product designer at ArtEZ. He runs his own design studio, specialised in developing sustainable value chains based on renewable biomaterials.
