In the early 21st century, within the quiet of a university campus in the forests of the eastern Netherlands, a continuous process of learning and unlearning was set in motion. This became the point of departure from which the Dutch Art Institute evolved into the internationally renowned programme it is today: a rich constellation of praxes at the intersection of art and theory, both regarded as non-disciplines.
