Bootcamp at Cittadellarte in Italy

Anja Lőrincz, second-year student BEAR Fine Art, tells us about her experience during her time at Cittadellarte, in Biela, Italy. As a first year student you will have the opportunity to do this bootcamp for one week in early February.

Ajna Lőrincz: "I think it's safe to say that our excursion trip to Italy was a roller-coaster-like experience for all of us, but the type which I would do again. Throughout those nine days, we saw all kinds of art as you would expect it but this experience is definitely much more inspiring than museum and gallery visits. It was also a physical and emotional journey. We spent every day constantly together, especially during the long bus rides, but it  also meant that we could get to know each other much more.

The days we spent at Cittadellarte were the most intense but also the most fun period of the trip. We could focus on our art practice in various ways, like spending a day in a tiny village or interacting with the locals or even climbing a mountain with a snowy top. We had to observe and work with our findings in small groups to create a final project.

But of course, we can't forget about the fun times we had while we took some breaks. I loved it when we could freely explore for hours in different places or just simply have the longest talks with my friends with lots of laughter. Last but certainly not least I would mention the delicious dinners we had and spent together.

So do I recommend to go and try it yourself?

I'm not going to lie, it wasn't easy but it was also an experience which I'll never forget.

So yes, go for it!"
