THE PROCESS: an Exploration of Creativity.
"THE PROCESS” takes viewers in a journey that shares the emotions, struggles and different
phases of the artistic creation through conversations with Dutch artists, musicians from the
Metropole Orkest, introspective monologues and original compositions performed by Matangi
String Quartet, Fames Orchestra and solo players from different parts of the world (Croatia,
Portugal, Spain, Serbia, UK).
Along four different parts (The Spark, Persistence, Collaboration, and Completion), artists
across multiple disciplines share insights on finding inspiration, overcoming creative blocks and
knowing when a work is complete.
Drawing from his personal experiences and struggles as a composer, Gabriel Suarez Cejuela
shares his thoughts through several monologues with tailor made music and captures authentic
conversations in artists natural environments. "I wanted to document the elements of creativity
that connect us all, regardless of medium, and find answers to questions and troubles I
experience myself in the process", says Gabriel.
Original musical compositions inspired by each topic provide the documentary's emotional
backbone.

Between 2 June and 1 July 2025, the finalists of the Jazz & Pop, Music Theatre, Composition for Film and Theatre and Master of Music programmes of the of ArtEZ Conservatorium Arnhem will play their graduation performances.
Most ArtEZ Conservatorium Arnhem graduation performances are free to attend.
