The ArtEZ Big Collective is the orchestra of the Jazz & Pop Conservatory in Arnhem. The ensemble performs compositions and arrangements mainly by Jasper le Clercq and Philipp Rüttgers. The ABC consists of a rhythm section with guitar, vibraphone, and accordion, along with trumpets, saxophones, trombone, and flute. This unique lineup is eagerly embraced by both composers, making full use of its potential.
Just like the conservatory itself, the ABC explores a wide range of musical styles—Jazz, Pop, Improvisation, Folk, Fusion, and more. Despite the large number of musicians, there is always room for spontaneous actions and freedom in the moment.
This is a special opportunity to experience the new generation of international musicians up close and enjoy a top-level large orchestra.
