The time has come! After four years of study at the Zwolle Conservatory of Music, Meike Brandt's long-awaited graduation concert entitled “Break the Circle” will take place on Wednesday, June 19, 2024.
This evening Meike and her band will play pieces by her favorite trumpet players. This music has inspired and shaped Meike into the trumpet player she is today.
In addition to her band, she will also play with her own founded female big band, a first! Convinced that women are underrepresented in the music industry, Meike wants to make a powerful statement this evening by putting women in the spotlight and breaking the stereotypes of big bands.
