Kunstbende Young Creators Festival on Saturday, 29 June
On Saturday, 29 June 2024, the final of Kunstbende - the ultimate breeding ground for young talent in the Netherlands - will take place during the Kunstbende Young Creators Festival. The competition is open to everyone aged 13 to 19 who is involved or wants to get involved with content creation, dance, DJing, visual arts, fashion, film, writing, music, or theatre. This year, it will once again be held at the Melkweg and INN in Amsterdam.
Through the provincial preliminaries, the most remarkable acts come together annually at the Young Creators Festival. There, their performance or artwork is judged by a professional jury who ultimately selects the winners. In various categories, this means a performance at a major festival or an exhibition in a museum.
ArtEZ and Kunstbende
ArtEZ is a proud main partner of Kunstbende. A mini-survey conducted among ArtEZ’s Instagram followers previously revealed that a significant portion (29%) of respondents are both ArtEZ students and former Kunstbende participants. An even larger portion (44%) indicated that they had not yet participated in Kunstbende but would like to or would have liked to. It is, after all, the perfect opportunity for young talent to gain stage experience and join a large network of like-minded creators. In this way, the participants take an important first step towards professionalisation.
