Lobke Meekes made a podcast and workshop about plants

For ArtEZ Studium Generale, Lobke, together with the Mexican-Canadian curator and researcher Irene Urrutia, made a podcast 'How to be with plants' about living together with plants. In addition to the podcast, they also organized a workshop 'Hello Plant!'. Participants were challenged to investigate and reshape their relationship with plants through questions and assignments. On the website of ArtEZ Studium Generale you will find a do-it-yourself version of the workshop for everyone who was unable to attend and is interested in more connection with (house) plants.

This interview is part of the LAND project of ArtEZ Studium Generale, about climate breakdown, property, territory and colonialism and how these things relate to each other. Can we understand how we got into the current precarious situation? What does "ownership" mean for our relationship with each other and the land? And what role does language play as a reflection of our interaction with each other, nature and the earth?
