Tamara Rumiantsev takes up international research position

On 1 September 2026, Tamara Rumiantsev will step down as Director of the ArtEZ Research Centre to take up a research position at Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) and Université libre de Bruxelles (ULB) - hosted respectively by the Brussels Institute for Social and Population Studies (BRISPO) and the Centre for Research in Cognition and Neurosciences (CRCN).

The position has been established through the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) programme under Horizon Europe, one of the most competitive and selective European frameworks supporting researchers in international mobility.

Her researchproject Transformative Learning Ateliers for Boundary-crossing Competence (T-LAB) addresses interdisciplinary research into transformative learning and complex societal challenges.

"Transdisciplinary collaboration calls for the creative and imaginative capacity that artists bring. This award gives me the space to explore that extensively in the years ahead.”

Tamara has been affiliated with ArtEZ since 2022. As Director of the ArtEZ Research Centre, she made a substantial contribution to the development and positioning of research within the institution. ArtEZ warmly congratulates Tamara on this remarkable international recognition and wishes her every success in this next step in her academic career.
