Opening finals exhibition AKI ArtEZ: succesful, sunny and a lot of visitors

The finals exhibition of AKI ArtEZ Academy for Art & Design in Enschede was festively opened on Friday 1 July. Many proud family and friends, but also alumni and (former) employees of ArtEZ, art lovers, gallery owners and collectors came to discover the work from the new generation of artists and designers on this sunny day.

Director Thom Wildeboer and mayor Roelof Bleker opened the exhibition. Singer-songwriter Frée (Pop Academy, Enschede) performed during the opening. In addition, the AKI yearbooks were presented.

Varied work

The exhibition is varied. Students of the academy's three bachelor courses - Crossmedia Design, Moving Image and Fine Art - have worked with a wide range of disciplines: from film to painting and from sculpture to photography and illustration. You can feel the love for materiality and craft, but also for digital work. Definitely worth a visit! The exhibition is open until Friday 8 July.
